It's easy to give.

These programs currently need the most support to ensure their success. Check below for even more ways to give back now and throughout the year. Any gift will make an impact in our community.

Holiday Food Drives

Our Family Services Department serves hundreds of families with holiday meals and toys for children. Volunteering for our Family Services Department requires lifting produce and grocery items, sweeping and mopping and preparing bags for our clients.

Summer Camp (Camp Del Oro)

Camp Del Oro allows kids to be kids while giving them the opportunity to discover and develop individual skills. Our beautiful location in the foothills of the Sierras, with cabins nestled between tall pines, majestic oak and cedar trees, star lit nights and exciting wild life provides the perfect setting to learn about God's creation. Cabin groups learn about ecology along with local flora and fauna. There are lots of opportunities to enjoy campfires and go hiking in the woods. Campers go home with a better understanding of how to live in this land and how to preserve the wonderful gift of nature that God has given us.

Emergency Assistance

The Kroc Center partners with local food pantries and emergency response agencies to offer emergency assistance, one deserving family at a time. Whether they need help keeping their lights and heat on, or paying for a much-needed prescription, donated funds make sure basic needs are met for 40 families every month.

Membership Financial Assistance

No one in need is turned away from the life-changing opportunities at The Salvation Army Kroc Center through the Kroc Scholarship Program. With an average of 1,500 individuals on scholarship, this is by far The Kroc Center's largest outreach and single greatest need for community support.

Fill the Truck Toy Drive

Extending a hand to your community members in need just got easier. Shoppers visiting participating Walmart stores will have the opportunity to drop off new, unwrapped toys and coats for children who take part in The Salvation Army programs year-round as part of the company’s annual “Fill the Truck” Toy Drive. For more than 40 years, Walmart has been an essential partner of The Salvation Army. This Thanksgiving and beyond, The Salvation Army give thanks for Walmart, our valued partner in Doing the Most Good.
